LOCATION

Royal Residence Rangdu

Royal Residence Rangdu is built on a hill in the northern part of Bali, at an accidented terrain of about 2 hectare which is situated at an average height of 210 metres above sea-level. The hill lies right between two deep river valleys. The slopes of these valleys are rugged with trees and bushes with terraced rice fields in between.

One side of the terrain offers stunning panoramas of the ocean, the valley and volcanoes and the other side looks out over the jungle and mountains. The climate is more than excellent. Since we are located on about 200 metres above sea level, the temperature is always a few degrees lower than for instance along the coast near Lovina.

The Gardens of Royal Residence Rangdu

The gardens surrounding the Royal Residence Villas are designed by a landscape architect in consultation with the buyers/owners of the villas. Our goal is to emphasize integration with the surrounding nature We also create lakes, waterfalls and rippling creeks in the gardens. > see garden page

Rangdu Village and vicinity

The terrain is located in Rangdu, an authentic small village that has not yet been discovered by tourism. Rangdu lies between Mayong and Seririt, at a distance of about seven kilometres from the coast.

At a distance of about fifteen minutes by car you will find Lovina Beach, a long streched strip of rural beaches with dozens of hotels, restaurants and shops.

Just past Lovina Beach you will find Singaraja, the second largest town of Bali and a former colonial capital of Bali (inhabitants ca. 100.000). The architecture of many buildings is strongly influenced by the former Dutch colonial style.

The road from the village Mayong via Rangdu to Seririt crosses a relatively narrow offshoot of the volcanic mountain range, which devides Bali from the West to the East.

On both sides are deep valleys with streaming rivers. You will find everything for your daily necessities in Seririt, on the daily market places and in the local supermarkets.
